Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were hurt.

The attacks come after periods of air raids in the territory, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were bracing for further attacks.
